Gleh1642fs2 Very Loud

We've had this unit for a couple of years with no issues. Lately (the last month or so), however, it has gotten very loud. When it starts to spin, it sounds like a jet taking off. Everything seems to be working properly, it's just really loud. Any idea why?

To clarify, is it the washer or the dryer that makes the noise?

The noise only happens when the washer spins.

Hello dkoprowski! I understand that your laundry center (model GLEH1642FS) is making jet-like sounds during the spin cycle. This is typically a normal sound with front load washers due to the speed that it spins; however with this particular concern starting 2 years after purchase, I would recommend getting a professional service provider to come and diagnose the problem. The appliance could just need to be lubricated, there could be a belt that needs tightening or the drum could possibly be off balance.

Hope this helps!
