Hello darcyjo64 – Sometimes when dry fabric softener is left on clothing, it could cause stains. Does the brown substance look like grease? If so, then I strongly suggest cleaning the unit at the assessed for lubricant and oil leaks inside the bearing/wheel assembly. Heavily soiled items of clothing will sometimes leave residue in the bottom or side of the tub. You can try wiping tub with a nonabrasive household cleanser, then rise tub out completely. If the issue persists, then the other option may be to replace or repair large internal components of the tub and that may possibly be what is causing the brownish substances on your clothing.
