Bad Tasting Ice

i hooked up my freezer ice maker and the tastes plastic. ive emptied the bin 3 times and started over but sill the same. any ideas?

Hi 1tipper – Often when the ice or water taste like plastic the issue is caused from something in the water or an odor in the freezer compartment. Since you have already emptied the bin three times and odor continues, I personally recommend consulting a certified technician to accurately diagnose the icemaker to determine the root cause to reduce the risk of unnecessary parts.
