Frigidaire Frontloader Dryer Overheating

My frigidaire dryer is only 2 yrs old and keeps overheating.  The connectors cord that connect to he back if he dryer keeps burnin up.  This will be the 2nd time in less than a yr.  ??? my brother in law thankfully is an electrician and fixed it for me last time and looked at it this time but he thinks there is an underlying issue.  Has anyone else had this problem

Hi Stacyhale29 – From what you are describing, the wiring you are referring to appears to be where the power cord attaches to the dryer terminal block. If this is correct, more than likely a loose connection may have caused the wires to overheat and melt. At this point, I would recommend one or two things. Replace the terminal block and cord, and make sure to securely tighten the terminal block screws to the cord terminals or seek expert for a further evaluation.
