I can find no evidence that the compreesor is fused. Several things could cause the dehumidifier to not turn on. It could be the switch itself, or the power cord, or some internal component. If you have a multimeter, you can take the unit apart and test the switch and the power cord.
Also make sure the outlet is getting power and no circuit breaker has been tripped.
