Here are the steps on how to remove the intake or throttle body on a 2006 Ford Focus:
Disconnect the negative battery cable. This will prevent any accidental electrical shorts.
Remove the air intake hose. This hose connects the air filter to the throttle body.
Disconnect the throttle position sensor (TPS) connector. This connector is located on the side of the throttle body.
Remove the two 10mm bolts that secure the throttle body to the intake manifold.
Carefully remove the throttle body from the intake manifold. Be careful not to damage the throttle body or the intake manifold.
To reinstall the throttle body, follow these steps in reverse order.
Here are some additional tips:
Make sure that the throttle body is properly aligned with the intake manifold before you tighten the bolts.
If the throttle body is not properly aligned, it may not seal properly and cause air leaks.
Be careful not to overtighten the bolts, as this could damage the throttle body or the intake manifold.
Here are some of the tools you will need to remove the intake or throttle body on a 2006 Ford Focus:
10mm socket wrench
10mm socket extension
Ratchet
Flathead screwdriver
I hope this helps!
