Transmission Installed Problem Won't Go Into Gear

I installed a 1999 ford expedition transmission in my 2000 ford expedition which was 3 inches longer. I made small modifications, however it won't kick into gear, I have two extra wires from the transmission, I need guidance as to what I need to do ...thank you...
