Why Won't It Start?

I brought my 96 explorer 1 month ago and it ran fine. I didn't drive it for about a day or two and went outside to mive it and it wouldn't start. the radio works and it chimes when the key is inserted but that's it. I had the battery tested and it has full power. what could be the problem?

I am not sure why it wont start you also didnt mention if it was turning over...but heres a few things you could try.

- Check all your Fuses both in the cabin and under the hood.

- Have someone tap on the starter with a hammer as you try to start the truck. Sometimes the starter can get stuck and not turn the motor over. This happens when a starter gets dirty and with age. If it starts and it does again sometime just change the starter not worth the headach.

- If it turns over but does start turn the key on but stop right before you turn it to start, listen for that signature hum of the Fuel Pump if no hum is present have your Fuel Pump looked at.

Good luck
