Fluke 8846a Error

I am not an electrician, but sell some things online.. today I had a customer who just received the multimeter I sold him. I don't know anything about these. Please if you can help me help him I'd appreciate itHis question to me was:the unit is not getting the same reading when connecting to the bottom front ports. The bottom right port is functional and reading when an electrical current is present. (Picture 1)The bottom right 400 mA port is not functional, power does not get to the test device and no electrical current is shown.

The Fluke 8846A is a high-performance digital multimeter that is designed for use in a variety of industrial and electrical applications. It is likely that the customer is experiencing an issue with the bottom right 400mA port, which may be caused by a problem with the port itself or with the connections between the multimeter and the test device.

There are a few things that the customer can try to troubleshoot this issue:

  1. Check the connections: Make sure that the connections between the multimeter and the test device are secure and that there is no damage to the cables or terminals.
  2. Check the test device: Make sure that the test device is working properly and that it is connected correctly.
  3. Check the settings: Make sure that the multimeter is set to the correct measurement range and that the correct input terminals are selected.
  4. Check the batteries: Make sure that the multimeter's batteries are charged or replaced if necessary.

If the problem persists, the customer should contact Fluke for further assistance, as the issue may be caused by a hardware problem that requires repair or replacement.
