Inexplicably, I Have Two Facebook Accounts. Same Name, Password Etc Why?

I have two accounts. Different contacts, friend lists etc, When I log on, either account pops up randomly. I ONLY WANT ONE ACC. How did this happen and how can I correct it? Can I add all lists from the one acct and close the other??
