Lost Connection To Previous Friend List.

I was previous connected to a friend who was on my frien list. And now the person is not. He said he didn't block me but when I try to add as a friend again it says I have an email already associated with this friend and I can't continue. So why can't I add as a friend again.

Facebook assures that Friend removals are not caused by technical errors. The issue may result from one of the following:

This person removed you from his/her Friend List, either intentionally or accidentally.
This person has deactivated his/her account, causing a disappearance from all Friend Lists.
It's also possible there may be a security issue.
