I Cannot Get Into Facebook. I Get The Message: Confirm Your Phone Number

When I set it up it worked for the night. Next day I got the Message: "Peter, check the SMS on your phone to complete the sign-up process" and on the same page: Confirm Your Phone Number. When I try to re-send my confirmation, I get the message: Sorry, a temporary error has occurred. Please try again in a little while. This has been going on for 3 days. If I try to go to any Facebook link I get the above pages. I cannot contact Help, get contact details or any info that requires me to be on a Facebook page.

Facebook has detected suspicious activity on your account and has temporarily suspended it as a security precaution. This may be because an unfamiliar computer had gained access to your Facebook account. It is also possible that your password was "phished," or stolen by a website designed to look like Facebook.

You will be able to regain access to your account once you complete the automated security verification process.

Facebook is making an improvement to the database that your account is stored on. During this time, you will not be able to gain access to your account. In most instances, this maintenance will last only a few hours.
