My Chat Is Showing Offline To My Friends Why

Sounds like your commenting on the wall not the chat.  Chats are little boxes that pop up and shows 1 line to enter text.  Chats can't be seen online whether you are signed on or not.  The only person that can see a chat, is the person you are chatting with.  Anything you write on a wall, will show up to everyone.  Chats automatically close when you sign out.  If you are chatting correctly, and it is showing up for everyone, then  someone is copying and pasting your chat with them on their wall for all to see!
