How Can I Start A New Fb Account Using The Email From My Deactivated Acct?

I deactivated my fb account due to too many people and nastiness (election). I would like to start a new account with just close friends and family, and use my email that is tied to the deactivated account. I want to use a different version of my name, and I do not want to just de-friend the peeps from my existing account. I only have one email address. thanks!

If your account was deactivated [not deleted] you can just log in as usual to start it up again. You can't however arbitrarily change your name, as Facebook requires real (not fake) names.

You can submit a name change request through the "Name" section of your Account Settings page. Please note that Facebook reviews each name change request that is submitted, and may take some time before making a determination. Facebook has many restrictions that might result in disapproval of your name change. More details are here. You can appeal a disapproval using the link on this page.

Or you could start an altogether new account after deleting the old one. For deletion, press the Submit button on the deletion page.
