Facebook Sent Text To Non Text Phone Number. How To Correct?

I had trouble resetting my password. When filling out my information the phone number I gave does not accept text messages. I had no way to get past their security checkpoint and apparently no way to contct them. Is there an email address to let them know the problem?

Hello milehighnana,

You can change your phone number and request a text message to confirm the number in your Account settings, but only after you are able to gain access to your Facebook Account. (Kind of a catch 22) So, Below provides information you may find useful

Go to Facebooks support page located here to review alternate options for resetting a forgotten password (ie: Through a security question you previously set up or by coorectly identifying profiles in your friends list, etc)

If, still can not log into your account after reviewing the information at the link above, you can choose to Report a Log-In Issue by submitting the requested information in the online report.

Please note: Facebook does not provide phone support to their customers. However, you should receive a reply from the report you submit, if you should decide to do so, within 24 - 72 hours.
