Why Does A Persons Photo Still Show Up On Friends List When You've Unliked Them

I need to know how to take people off my friend list after I've unlied them. When I look at friends they are still there. Would really like to have them off

To block someone:

Click the account menu at the top right of any Facebook page and choose Privacy Settings.
Scroll to the Blocked People and Apps section and click Manage Blocking.
Enter the name or email address of the person you want to block and click Block.

Your friend will not be notified. More information is at this Facebook page, which you may wish to consult for further guidance.
