Cannot Access Mobile Account

I have had a facebook account for some time that I access thru my phone, and for some reason I am unable to access facebook on my phone suddenly. I tried online, entered my email address, password and it created a new account. I deactivated this account but now when I try to access the mobile account and change my password it brings me back to this deactivated account. I have changed the password for the new account so it is not the same as my old account and still I am unable to access my old account online. Not sure where to go from here...HELP
