You didn't say why you could not access your account. Perhaps it's a bad password. There are several possible problems. It could be as simple as typing your password with the caps lock key on. Make sure it's off. Or the problem could stem from an outdated browser, or overloaded cache or cookies.

Except for the caps lock key issue, these issues are all addressed at length on this Facebook page.
