How Do I Fix A Screech On My Fax Line When Phone Calls Come In.

I have a dedicated number on my fax and suddenly when I get a phone call I get a fax screech drowning out the other persons voice how can I fix this problem

You have your fax set up to automatically pick up a call after a certain number of rings.

You can fix this by changing the number of rings that will happen before the fax answers (every fax should have this setting), or by getting a second line for a fax or switching to an online fax service.
