Software And Manual Missing

HOW do I obtained software and Manual for the Epson perfection v500 photo scanner, model J251A(color)? Fearful of trying to use it as I am not trained in use of scanning

Obtain both by going to this Epson page. You'll have to choose whether you have the Photo or Office version.
