Handle Keeps Separating From The Post

i HAVE had the Dyson DC 33 for several months. Its a good product, but I have never had the detachable handle stay on for very long before it separates from the unit and comes off again. It is the gray horizontal line button that pushes into the vacuum post, which has a recessed groove to hold it in place. I can always get it to snap in place, but when pushing the vacuum back and forth to clean, the handle/ wand pops right off the post again in 30 seconds. Cant vaccum if the handle keeps coming off,,,its like trying to drive a car with the steering wheel falling off every 30 seconds. What can I do?
