It's a power saving feature & should be found in the menu> settings> for power saving options.

Hi there Tonyvl, my name is Kimberly and I form part of the Social Media Department with DISH. It is a pleasure to assist you today. The issue you are experiencing is due to the Inactivity Standby feature being active. In order to disable it on a NON HOPPER UNIT (disabling steps depend on the model of receiver you have) press 'Menu' on your remote, select option 8 for 'Preferences' and then option 4 for 'Updates' Once in the updates screen, please set the number of hours of Inactivity before the receiver goes into standby Mode, you also have the option to Disable it completely. Be sure to select 'Save' once you are done.

If you have a Hopper system, press 'Menu' on your remote, select 'Settings', then select 'Diagnostics' and at last select 'Updates' Once in the updates screen, please set the number of hours of Inactivity before the receiver goes into standby Mode, you also have the option to Disable it completely.
