Why Does My Satellite Receiver Turn Off

Typically there are multiple causes for an issue like this. The receiver may be receiving power fluctuations, Grounding issues, the signal strength may be low causing the box to reboot, or the electrical components such as contacts or a capacitor may be fried and the box may need replaced. To determine this bipass any power strips, outlet multipliers or surge suppressors and plug the receiver directly into the wall. If the box simply won't power on it could even be an issue with the remote. If youpress the power button on the box does it come on? Thanks!
