I Accidently Shut Off Receiver--how Do You Start It Up Again

A screen came on and said because of inactivity would you like to shut receiver off and I accidently said yes--now how do you get it back on--main tv with receiver works but upstairs one that is linked to it will not start when it says to press select

Try the reset button.  Should be under the door where the access card is located.  Press and hold for 10 seconds.  If that does no good try unplugging the power for 60 seconds.  Sometimes you can perform a reset by holding the power button while you plug in the power.  If none of that works you'll need to contact Dish support.  In fact I'm sure they will be chiming in here soon with a solution for you anyway...

Hello cpswanson1, you just need to press the power button on the remote. Make sure the SAT button at the top is lighting up. If this is not then press the SAT for a second and release to place the remote in SAT mode. If the SAT button is lit and this is not working make sure the batteries are good.
