Why Won't My 6.0 Remote Work In Ir Mode?

I have a 522 dual receiver and the TV1 ir mode remote will not work unless it is in the same room pointed directly at the receiver which is in a different room. It worked fine yesterday (new batteries in).

Hi, the 6.0 remote can be set as a UHF remote if the tab on the front bottom of the remote is a number 2 UHF tab. have you trioed to readdress the remote to the receiver? Here are the steps:

How to address remote to DISH receiver:

  1. Go to System Info screen. (Menu twice on your TV1 DISH remote)
  2. With the TV2 remote, hold down the “SAT” button until all mode lights light up.
  3. Enter a number between 1 and 15 using the numeric keypad on the remote.
  4. Press the pound (#) button.
  5. Once the SAT button blinks three times, press record.

Note:  If successful, the number selected in step 3 will appear in the System Info screen under Remote Address.

If you still having any issues, please PM me directly. Thank you!
