I Turned On My Tv Today And The Screen Had A Error Message Of Check Signal Cable

i turned both tv and receiver off, rebooted and turned back on. now i just have a black screen. both the tv and receiver show the power light on. what is wrong?

Hi, I am sorry that you are having a problem with your DISH service and I will ba happy to assist you to get the issue resolved. It does sound like the TV is on the wrong input. When you turn the TV on it will say what input it is on, Cable 3, HDMI, or Audio2, etc. You will need to cycle through the inputs on th TV until you find the DISH picture. Now, using the DISH remote, press and release the clear TV button on the top left side of the remote, to allow the remote to work the TV. Under the TV button is an input one, press and release the input button and see what the TV shows it is on. Wait a couple of seconds and if the picture does not appear, press the input button again. If you cycle through and still have no picture, please unplug the receiver from the power for 10 seconds and then try to cycle the inputs again. if you are still having an issue, please email me directly.
