everything works with dish remote except turning volum up and down and turning tv off with little red botton

Hello, You are going to need to program your DISH Network remote to work your new TV. Since you do not mention who the manufacturer of the Tv is I will include a link where you can look up the codes to the most popular brands. http://www.dishnetwork.com/SupportSection/remote-setup
