Moved Reciever From One Side Of The Liviroom Now Can't Change Channels In Bed Ro

i moved the reciever from one side of the living room to the other, about 6 feet away from the orgional spot. it works in the living room but not am unable to change channels in the bed room. the volume works. how can i fix that without putting the reciever back?
