Hi, you can activate the "Record Plus" feature on your receiver and it will allow you to default either TV1 or TV2 to record to first. You can access this with your remote, Menu, 8-Preferences, 5-Record Plus. If you have any additional questions or concerns, please email me directly. Thank you!

Hello wambdandp, I would be happy to help you with this issue you're experiencing with your DVR. In order to change your record preference from TV1 to TV2 you will need to enable your record plus feature on your receiver. You can access this feature by press menu, 8(preferences) and 5(record plus) on your DISH remote. Once you are in the record plus menu you can change the settings to enable and TV2. I hope this information helps and if you have any further questions please feel free to email me directly at [email protected].
