While Charging There Is A Blinking Red Light Is This Normal?

When a dewalt charger shows a blinking red light it means that it is in charging mode. Anyone out there can tell me what the status light is all about. What do the dcb107 and dcb112 charge lights indicate. The dewalt charger indicates a red blinking light while charging and lights green when fully charged.
