Denon Avr 1700 Rc-855 Remote
I'm looking for a remote control for my second Denon receiver, UK based if possible. The model is an old AVR 1700. Also I see remotes that are RC-856 for model AVR-1700 KE2, are these one of the same ie an upgrade. Please can someone help. Thank you.

If you like the Denon receiver, buy the replacement AVR-1705. It is a good little amp, plus it is 6.1 and does component video transcoding. It retails for about $399.99, which if you figure in the cost of the remote, and and probably another 100 bucks to get it fixed(sounds like it overheated in went into protection mode. Part is not that expensive but most bench charges will bring you up to about 100) you're only paying $200 for a new receiver that decodes all available surround movie formats and is Pro Logic II. If I am speaking greek, just post a reply with questions and I will answer them. I know you'll be out $400 all together, but it is not a bad upgrade.
