Dell Vostro 3550 No Sound With Hdmi
No sound when connecting my Vostro 3550 to a TV via HDMI. I've checked Control Panel/Sound and my TV is shown as the default device for Intel Display Audio. I also IDT High Definition Audio Codec showing in devices for speakers and headphones.
Any help will be much appreciated!

ksljones,
You can go into the control pane and then set your sound default as HDMI. This should solve the problem, just remember to set the default back to the laptops speakers when you are finished using it on your TV.
If the sound does not work proberly right click on HDMI and select "Properties" That should open up the properties:) Then go to the 3rd tab and make sure the sound icon doesnt have a little "block" sign!Thank You,
