Poweredge 800/ Boot Problem
Requests for more information
What is the beep code you are getting? You should get 3 different sets of beeps. For example, you will get a single beep, then a pause, then 2 beeps, then a pause. then 3 beeps. Let me know and we can go from there.

If you take the server to a minimum to post configuration, that is removing everything from the server but the following:
- System Board
- Processor (with heat sink)
- One stick of memory in any slot.
- Power supply
- Control panel (power button - only required if the last power state was off)
Also, what is the quad pack (4 lights on the front of server) doing when you try to boot?

This includes all BIOS beep codes.
One long beep is not normal, it should be a series of long and or short. I suspect a CPU issue but you'll need to verify the beeps against the code list.
