Usb 3.0 For Dell Poweredge 2800
what type / length power cable do I need to add a usb 3.0 pci e adapter card? Do you recommend any particular usb 3.0 card type / manufacturer?

USB 3.0 is still in it's infancy. Just about any manufacturers card will do. If you can track down a server grade card I would go with that but so far I've been unable to locate one.
As to power... what are you referring to? The only power requirement is an internal power connection same as a hard disk. The existing hard disk power connections will work just fine.
