There is a sliding switch on the right side of the laptop next to (behind) the DVD drive bay. Sliding the switch with your finger towards the front of the laptop turns your wifi on. Sliding it it towards the back of the laptop turns it off. If you see the color red on one side of the switch, your wifi is turned off.
