Is It Possible To Upgrade A Dell Inspiron 1564 I3 From Ram 4g (2 X 2g) To Ram 8g

1st excuse my bad english ! I already buy 2 X 4GB of Ram for my dell inspiron 1564 i3 that as original RAM 2 X 2GB, i have W7 X 64 bits but i don't see any change of speed since i put the 2 X 4GB of RAM, What can I do ? if my computer does not support 8 GB of RAM what can i change inside to get more performance, more speed, cause it's too slow for me ? thanks. Patrick.
