Reliability

I am considering buying a premier danby dehumidifier #DDR6009REE. I would like to know if this is safe and reliable. Some close to this model has been recalled. Does it work well? Any info would be appreciated.

The best I can do is tell you what Consumers Reports said in June 2014 about the Danby DDR60A3GP. That was rated #1 of the 5 large capacity dehumidifiers tested, and every one of its test results was above average. Hope that helps.
