My Tv Is Not Making Any Sound.

My TV isn't making any sound. It was working fine last night but this morning it was completely silent. I can still here the static when i lose signal but all the channels are silent. the mute is not on and the volume is turned all the way up.

It is more than likely that it is the Direct tv boxes fault, rather than the tv since you can hear static. Try unplugging any cables from the box to the tv and then putting them back in. If this does not work you can get a replacement cable from Direct.
