Why does my Cub Cadet battery keep dying?

Common solutions for: Cub Cadet Lawn mower battery keeps dying. One or more cells in the battery may be dead. Try charging the battery with a battery charger. If the battery still won't hold a charge, this indicates that the battery is defective and will need to be replaced.

How long does a Cub Cadet battery last?

Battery Replacement: These batteries come with a three year manufacturer's warranty and tests have shown that they will normally last 5-6 years before needing replacement.

Why does my riding mower battery keep dying?

One issue is loose cables where they connect to the battery posts. A loose connection makes a battery work harder, thereby draining it of power more quickly. Cleaning the posts and tightening the connections should renew the battery's ability to hold a charge. A larger problem is a cracked battery case.

How does a Cub Cadet charge the battery?

Charging. Whether your Cub Cadet mower is a model CC 550 ES, SC 500 E or CC 46 ES, charge its battery by first attaching the battery charger plug to the battery then the charger's other plug to a 120-volt wall electrical outlet.
