How To Change Shifter Mechanism On Cub Cadet 104o Tractor
My tractor jumps out of gear when operating. sometimes it jumps to nutruel and others just stops moving forward. I manually shift the lever to reverse, then back to forward and it moves. Other times it requires much shifting before it re-ingages. The mower is only a couple of years old, but I mow quite a large space. (3-4 acr) SO IT IS USED A LOT. A check shows much play and looseness in the shifter lever mechanism. I"m not completly sure of the procedure to follow in replacing all the brackets from the shifter knob to the transmission actuator. I believe eliminating this excessive play should greatly help my problem. I'm aware of the parts I need, just need to make sure I am not missing something just looking at it, that I am not aware of. I can't find any procedure to follow so was hoping you could assist me.
