Category Change In Free Posting

The edit page will not allow me to change the category from "rooms and shares" to "wanted: rooms and shares" because it gives me only one other choice, relating to sublets. Is there a possibility of a chat, or better yet, a phone call

There is not. (Sorry.) You have to start from scratch with the new category. You can delete the old post or keep it, as you choose, but you must observe Craigslist's guidelines, including the following. So to be safe you'll probably want the delete the old post first.

You may not post "essentially the same item" before deleting the old item. This applies even when posting in a different city or category. So if your post lends itself to more than one category, you need to alternate the categories. You may not post the same item more than once in 48 hours.
