Confirm A Change In E-mail Address,when The Old E-mail Address Is Nolonger Activ

I have to update my CL account to indicate my new e-mail address. You are requiring two confirmations to enable me to do this. One is from my NEW e-mail address ([email protected]), while the other confirmation needs to come from my OLD e-mail address ([email protected]), which is NO LONGER ACTIVE (and cannot be reactivated by Comcast). Can you PLEASE help me out here, so I can post on CL? I can confirm from my New e-mail address (which I have done), but I cannot confirm from my OLD e-mail address, because it no longer exists.

YOu have reached HelpOwl and not CraigsList. So the first thing you need to do is contact CL directly.
Not knowing your area I suggest you try contact in one of two ways:

Call 1-800-664-0633 x5583 to speak to a person Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pm PST

You can also send an email to [email protected].

It is difficult when changing email addresses to remember all the companies and people you need to notify.

I would suggest setting up a backup webmail email for just such a backup. Check it once a week so that there is activity and consider putting your contact list in there as well.
