Scam/spam

I get more scam and spam answers to my postings than legitimate ones and feel I should be reporting them so those people will not be allowed to take advantage of others.  They sometimes lead me along for a week or two before it becomes obvious to me that they are not legit, which interferes with selling to real buyers.  What can be done?   It's a real turnoff to using Craigslist now.

The scammers and spammers will always ask you questions about your items in general terms. "Is it still available?" or "Have you sold the item yet?". Most real buyers will ask you specific questions about the item and assume it's still available, since you haven't removed the listing.
