I Have Been Blocked From Craigslist And I Do Not Know Why. Please Help.

I have sold nothing or posted nothing on craigslist. Last month a found an add for a chevy truck on my account and deleted it. Is this what has happened, has someone stole my IP address? I need to get back on line with you. Thank you.Jon

Note that we're an independent help site not connected with Craigslist. Craigslist from time to time does take actions that seem to have no rational basis--but that fact in itself doesn't help you. Craigslist states:

Posts may be removed or omitted from index pages and search results by automated systems, CL staff, or community moderation -- for non-compliance with terms of use, site guidelines, and/or community norms.

If you think you may have violated Craigslist's terms of use; you may want to review them by following the first link above. But Craigslist will impose its penalties simply on account of too many flags--and anybody can flag your post, for any or no reason.

You should be able to solve the issue with the use of a Web proxy, as offered free at http://www.zend2.com/. Fellow Help Owl volunteer smcclurken has additional suggestions here
