I Need The Help With My Craftman Lawnmower Model# 376741 I Can't Get It Started.

The lawn mower has fuel but when I pull the cord to start it the motor won't start. Am I supposed to prime it first or hold the throttle open? What is the proceedure to start it? Thank you.

Hi, if this is a brand new mower and it's your first time using it, make sure it has oil before attempting to start it.  (A container of oil comes with the mower, but you have to put it in yourself.)  The complete starting instructions can be found on page 11 of the owner's manual, but in general what you want to do is prime the engine three times, hold down the operator control bar at the top of the mower's handle, and either turn the key for electric start or pull the cord for manual start.

If you don't have a copy of the owner's manual, you can download it from the link below.  It will definitely come in handy many times.  Thanks for using HelpOwl!  Good luck with the mower, and please post any more questions you may have.
