Stubborn Filter Nut
cannot remove filter nut from old filter. Clues?

If you are having trouble removing the filter nut from an old filter on a Craftsman 17965 air compressor, there are a few things you can try:
- Use penetrating oil: Apply a penetrating oil such as WD-40 to the filter nut and let it sit for a few minutes to help loosen any rust or corrosion that may be holding the nut in place.
- Use a filter wrench: A filter wrench is a tool specifically designed to remove filter nuts. The jaws of the wrench will fit snugly around the filter nut, providing the leverage you need to break it loose.
