Your sunglasses are not from the consumer electronics area which includes televisions, projectors, computers, cameras, camcorders, touch screen tablets, MP3 players and cellular phones. so the 90 day limitation does not apply.
Although the backglare problems you are having could be due in part to design of the glasses or defective coating as you mentioned, this should not be happening and can actually be very dangerious.
If you have any record of the purchase, receipt, credit card statement, all the easier to make the return to your closest Costco Warehouse. If that is not possible send an email to customer service or call the customer service center at 1-800-955-2292.
