If you are proficient in being able to solder then it is a simple procedure. If not put it in the hands of a computer expert who can. To replace the socket entails removing the motherboard which is a full dis assembly. Takes about 2 hours. You will need to download the maintenance and service guide from the HP website before proceeding and follow the instructions explicitly making sure you replace the correct screws in their original locations. When you have removed the broken one obtain a replacement from websites/auction sites etc. Cost about £3.00 (UK). Labour is the most costly item.
