Coby Nbpc1023 Driver Installation

My Netbook crashed, I had nothing on it and it would not start up in safemode.  I installed Microsoft XP and thought I was ok.  Now I cannot get online even using an ethernet cord.  I was told I needed a driver, I don't even know which one and when I tried to get one online, it didn't work because I can't get online.  Please help.  Also, I used to have microsoft word, now all i see is microsoft wordpad.
