My Coby Mp3 Player Not Playing Through Miniplug.

My Coby mp3 player was working fine until recently. Now, it won't play when connected to a speaker via the mini plug. It will, however, play just fine on the computer through the usb port. I've tried several audio cables and different speakers. There's a menu selection for an equalizer and I clicked it but no settings appeared. Could that have caused a glitch with the miniplug connection? I really like this player and hope there's a solution to this problem.

Since you've tried different cable it narrows down the problem to the headphone jack. If your electronicly savvy you could pop the unit open & check the wiring & solder conections. Good luck!
